The package contains waterslide decals and instructions only: the model, the paints and the varnishes are not part of it. The reserve components of US naval aviation operated machines identical to those of the active units, but with a system of markings and tail codes of their own. Their aircraft tended to be kept in bold and easily legible markings, because they served mainly for training and for keeping qualifications current. That is precisely why they are attractive for modelers: they offer more colorful and more conspicuous variants than the machines of combat units tended to have. The actual mix of types in this wing is given by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the instructions inside.
Bold and large markings on the tail surfaces are exactly the place where so-called silvering appears, a white veil under the film caused by trapped air. The prevention is simple and cannot be skipped: the surface has to be smooth and glossy, the decal is laid on a sufficiently damp base and the air under it is pressed out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. Adding a drop of a product that lowers surface tension to the water also helps. If silvering does occur even so, prick the film at the affected place with a needle and lay softener on it.
A decal sheet is not a kit. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the package.
