A vintage gramophone in 1:72 scale is a scenic accessory for a diorama. It is not a model kit but a small prop for interior and genre scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The gramophone belongs among the scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a kit of an aircraft or a vehicle — it is a stand-alone object, to be stood in the interior of a building, on a table beside figures or in the back area around the main model. In 1:72 scale the part is very small, so count on tweezers and good light.
A gramophone is a narrative prop: in the interior of a house, in a clubroom, in a common room or in an off-duty scene it sets the period and the mood at once. It works just as well outdoors — stood on a box by a wall, it suggests an improvised get-together. The accessory is not tied to a particular kit and combines with any model or figure in 1:72 scale.
Cut the sprue gate remnants off and level the faces, degrease the surface and lay down a thin base. Build the cabinet up as darker polished wood: a brown base, a thin glaze and a fine sheen at the end, which looks right on furniture of this kind. Set the horn or the metal parts apart in a metallic shade — brass or dark metal — and paint the record black with a small light center added. The detail is brought out by a dark wash and a very careful dry brush on the edges. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) applied with a pin. Work in a well-ventilated room.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
