This is not a model or a kit but a resin accessory for a diorama in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Firma49. The set depicts American water cans of 20 liters from the Second World War period and later. In the small 1:72 scale these are tiny but telling details that fill out resupply and field activity.
The cans bring the cargo beds of vehicles, trailers and infantry dioramas in a small scale to life. They add fidelity of scale to a scene and an impression of the everyday life of a unit. The parts are printed from resin by 3D technology with a faithful shape and pressings.
The manufacturer suggests dipping the parts in hot water before separating the supports, then cutting off the remains of the supports; once cooled, the resin hardens again. Given the small scale, work carefully and with a sharp knife. It is bonded with super glue and painted with ordinary modeling paints.
