The set 1:72 WWII USAAF oxygen tank G-1 (3D-Printed) from Eduard offers oxygen tanks of the G-1 designation for models of American aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item falls under interior equipment: it contains the tanks designated G-1 of the kind fitted in American machines during the Second World War. They are printed directly, with no mold, and according to the manufacturer a decal sheet comes with them. They are fitted into a model where the interior is visible – at the wing roots, along bulkheads or in the space behind the pilot.
A supply of oxygen was among the key equipment of machines operating at high altitude. The tanks were distributed around the airframe so that a single hit would not deprive the crew of the whole source, and their placement differed from type to type. For a modeler that is practical information: the placement has no single right answer and it is best to work from documentation for the machine you are building.
Take the tank off the print structure in small steps so that the wall does not crack. Make the base coat dark, lay your own shade over it and bring out the edges with a lighter tint, so that the cylinder does not become a flat blot. Metal fittings come alive when a graphite pencil is run along an edge. If the tank lies in shadow, add a lighter highlight on the upper surface – the eye then reads the shape better. Connecting pipework can be replaced with stretched sprue or thin wire.
The set is designed as an accessory for a model under construction, and other equipment does not belong to it.
