A finished collector's model of the Soviet fighter aircraft Yak-3 in 1:72 scale. It is supplied assembled and painted; nothing needs to be glued or sprayed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Yak-3 was among the lightest fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Soviet designers took the route of low weight and small dimensions with it, so the machine distinguished itself above all in combat at low altitude, where it had excellent agility and rate of climb. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Klimov V-12.
An assembled and painted model in 1:72 scale, that is with a span of about thirteen centimeters. The paintwork and the insignia are applied at the factory, so it is enough to unpack the model and stand it in the display case. It is not a kit and nothing is glued on it, so even someone who has never put a model together can set it up.
The model belongs in a dry place out of reach of direct sunlight, which changes the shade of the paint over time. Brush the dust off with a soft brush; a cloth could knock off the propeller, an antenna or other protruding parts. Better not to pick the model up by the fuselage, as fingerprints stay on the surface.
It suits collectors who want machines of one era side by side in a uniform size, and it also serves as a gift for someone who does not put models together. The content of the package is a finished model; a glazed display case does not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
