About product

Yakovlev Yak-3 instrument panel (1:72, Yahu Models)

This accessory is not an airplane kit but a color photo-etched instrument panel to replace the part in the cockpit of a model. The panel is made of thin metal, color-printed with realistic dials and ready to use straight away without painting. In the very small 1:72 scale it brings detail that is otherwise hard to achieve by hand.

What the set is for

The aim is to improve the cockpit of the Yak-3 fighter in 1:72 scale faithfully and quickly. A pre-painted metal panel with finely drawn instruments lifts the look of the interior of a tiny model markedly with the minimum of work.

Usage tips

Remove or sand down the original instrument panel part, seat the panel dry and attach it with a tiny drop of super glue. When working with a small metal part use tweezers and watch out for the sharp edges. The glass of the instruments can be suggested with a drop of gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

  • modelers of the Yak-3 fighter in 1:72 scale
  • anyone after a detailed cockpit even in a small scale
  • builders who want a quick improvement with no painting

This is an accessory (a detail set), not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
