A set of cut self-adhesive Peewit masks for a model of the Czechoslovak two-seat training aircraft Zlin Z-226 Trener, with the military designation C-205, in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a clean coat on the frames of the lengthened cockpit canopy. The masks follow the shape of the frames of a particular kit exactly.
The Zlin Z-226 Trener was a Czechoslovak two-seat training and school aircraft of the Zlin Trener family, carried in military service under the designation C-205. It was powered by a Walter Minor 6-III inline engine and the machine became famous for its excellent aerobatic qualities as well. It served for basic training and for towing gliders.
Apply the masks to a clean, degreased, dry surface and press their edges down well so that paint does not bleed underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats, best of all with an airbrush at lower pressure. Mask the long tandem canopy one frame at a time. Lift the masks while the paint is still fresh, so that they do not tear off a dried coat.
This is a masking set, not a model. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
