An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Zlin Z-50M aerobatic aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Brengun. Besides the plastic parts, boxings of this type are usually supplemented with photo-etched and resin details and a decal sheet; check the exact contents against the manufacturer's information. Thanks to the small scale and the simple airframe, the build can be managed by less experienced modelers too, although the fine details call for careful work.
The Zlin Z-50 is a Czech single-seat aerobatic aircraft with a piston engine, developed at Moravan Otrokovice for top-level aerobatics. The Z-50M version received a modified powerplant. Machines of the Z-50 line made their mark at world and European championships and flew in the colors of many national teams. Thanks to excellent agility and performance they were among the best aerobatic specials of their day.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement, and any photo-etched and resin details with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage and mask the clear glazing. Because of the small scale, work with a thin coat of primer and lay the paint on with an airbrush; a striking, colorful aerobatic scheme comes into its own over a gloss coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
