Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Czechoslovak sport aircraft Zlin Z-XII in 1:72 scale. The model comes from the Czech manufacturer RS models, which has long devoted itself to the less usual types of aircraft that are not found in large-scale production — and the Zlin Z-XII certainly belongs among them.
The Zlin Z-XII was a light two-seat low-wing monoplane that arose in the middle of the 1930s at the Zlin aircraft company. It was powered by an air-cooled Persy II engine and, thanks to its simple construction, low running costs and pleasant flying qualities, it became one of the most widespread Czechoslovak sport and training aircraft of its day. It flew with flying clubs, served for the basic training of pilots and sold successfully abroad as well.
This is a kit of a smaller production run, so count on more careful preparation: dry-fit the assembly, sand the mating faces gently and bond with a thin cement for plastic. Separate the small parts with a sharp knife or modeling nippers. Before painting, even the surface out with filler and primer; a smooth civil finish comes out best when sprayed with an airbrush and given a final gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
