Responsibility details are not available.
Lobed oak leaves in a dry, browned finish from the Czech maker of diorama vegetation Model Scene. The word dry refers to the color and the condition of the leaf, not to the tree: the package holds loose material, that is, leaves, not an armature or a finished tree. The size of the leaf is intended for 1:72 and 1:87 scale.
The oak has the quality of not shedding its dry leaves at once but holding them on the branches long into winter and sometimes right up to the spring budding. Browned foliage on an oak is therefore neither a mistake nor an unfinished job: it is the faithful state of the tree from November to March. The material thus covers winter and early spring scenes, where the vegetation is otherwise hard to read. Its second main use is on the ground: oak leaf litter is a basic component of forest soil and it gathers in ditches, at the foot of walls and in the lee of obstacles.
Apply spray glue to the tree armature and scatter the leaves in thin layers: a winter oak has thinner foliage than a summer one, so here less pays off rather than more. On the terrain, use thinned PVA glue with a drop of detergent, so that the leaves settle evenly, and work in islands of varying density. The dry brown shades work excellently together with brown static grass, turf tufts and fine wood scatter, with which they create forest soil with depth. At the end, fix the area with a matte clear coat from a greater distance.
This is a scenic material, not a kit or a finished tree. A tree armature, glue and a terrain base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
