An accessory set for a model of the Israeli Merkava IV tank in 1:35: elements of the Trophy protection system and the rear kit basket.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Merkava Mk IV is an Israeli main battle tank. It differs from most western machines in its layout alone: the engine is at the front, the crew sits behind it and the vehicle is entered from the rear. Trophy is an active protection system that watches the area around the vehicle and strikes an incoming anti-tank round before it reaches the armor. On the turret it is given away by the side emitter units and the flat panels. The basket at the rear of the turret serves the crew for stowing kit and material.
The set brings together elements of the Trophy system and the rear basket, that is two groups of detail that kits tend to render rather simply. It is an accessory for a model, not a whole in itself. Offer the parts up dry first and compare them with the shape of the turret you have.
Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and carefully sand what remains, so that the thin edges do not break. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The manufacturer's instructions give the right glue and the surface preparation. Glue the elements of the protection system on only after the turret has had its base coat, or you will have trouble reaching around them with a brush. Leave the basket empty until the model is painted, and only then put the kit into it.
The kit of the tank, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
