A brass tube 2.0 x 1.8 mm 305 mm long, with a very thin wall and a wide bore.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tube with an outside diameter of 2.0 millimeters and an inside diameter of 1.8 millimeters. The wall is only a tenth of a millimeter, so at the same outside size the bore stays unusually large and the finished part looks light. The length is 305 millimeters and the goods are sold by the piece.
A two millimeter diameter fits the muzzles of medium caliber guns in 1:35 scale, motorcycle exhausts, railing posts and the tubular frames of seats. The large bore allows a smaller tube or heavier wire to be slid inside to create a telescopic, smoothly tapering part. That is exactly how a multi-section antenna or a stepped barrel with a suggestion of a muzzle brake is made.
A thin wall means the material will not take being squeezed with pliers or the pressure of a hand-held drill. The end is leveled with a fine-cut file by turning the tube while the file stays still. Before gluing it into plastic it is advisable to roughen the outside with abrasive paper and degrease it, because otherwise the joint holds only mechanically and will come loose under load. Ordinary tin solder and a flux for copper are enough for soldering.
It works well to secure the joints between steps with a drop of cyanoacrylate introduced into the seam rather than applied beforehand; the glue then does not run inside and the bore stays open.
