3GEN – WARGAME PAINT IT ALL BOX x108

A complete color outfit for tabletop games in one box

The set gathers one hundred and eight shades from the third-generation acrylic line of the Spanish brand AK interactive. The selection was put together by players along with professional figure painters, so it covers flesh tones, metals, leather, greens, blues, reds, neutral grays and technical shades for shadows and highlights. The box also holds two synthetic brushes, one flat and one round, and a washable non-slip silicone mat measuring 300 by 200 millimeters.

What marks the third-generation line out

The colors are highly pigmented, dry to a matte surface and hold even on smooth surfaces. They will take heavy thinning without losing their covering power, so they suit a brush as well as an airbrush, where they do not clog the nozzle. The bottles hold 17 milliliters and come with a dropper, which makes dosing onto a palette easier.

How to make use of the set

• Start with a base coat, and lay the basic tones on only over it.
• Mix shadows and highlights from shades that are neighbors in the set; that way you get a smooth transition.
• For units of the same type, choose a fixed palette in advance and stick to it.
• Lay the metallic shades on last, as they are harder to paint over and to mask.
• Use the mat as a working surface; once dry, the paint peels off it.

Who the purchase is worth it for

A solution for a player who is starting on a larger army and does not want to put a palette together bottle by bottle, and for a club or a gaming group as well. Store the colors at room temperature out of the reach of children, and shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
