Messerschmitt Me 163 is an aviation monograph written in German, the fifty-third volume of the Flugzeug Profile series. It is a book, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a printed publication, not a model and not an accessory for a model. It belongs to the Flugzeug Profile aviation monograph series, in which each volume covers one type of aircraft. The text is in German, which matches the original title and the whole line. The series devotes several consecutive volumes to this type.
The Messerschmitt Me 163 was a German rocket-powered interceptor from the end of the Second World War. In design terms it was a tailless machine with a swept wing and a liquid-fuel rocket engine. The layout was subordinated to a rapid climb: the aircraft took off from a jettisoned dolly and landed on an extendable skid. The duration of powered flight was very short, so most of the flight took place without thrust, in essence as a glide. Operations were complicated by the aggressive propellants, which made severe demands on handling. The type therefore remained a technically remarkable episode rather than a usable weapon.
For modelers who build Me 163 models in the usual scales and are looking for sources on structural detail and on the color finish, and for anyone interested in early rocket-powered and tailless designs. At least a basic knowledge of German is assumed, because the text is not in Czech.
This is a printed publication. It contains no model parts, no decals and no other modeling components.
