5x D20 20mm Dice - Blue - Black

5x D20 20mm Dice - Blue - Black

This is a set of gaming dice, not modeling material. The designation D20 means a twenty-sided die, that is a die with twenty numbered faces, which most tabletop roleplaying games and a number of tabletop systems work with. The numeral at the beginning of the name gives the number of pieces in the package, the 20mm figure describes the size of one die and the pair Blue - Black is the manufacturer's color designation. Behind the set stands the Spanish brand Green Stuff World, which modelers and players know mainly thanks to its wide assortment of hobby and gaming accessories.

What the set is suited to

• rolls to hit, to save or for a skill in games that stand on a twenty-sided die
• filling out a game box in which the dice are missing or are worn
• telling one player apart from the others at a table by color
• a reserve for longer campaigns, where rolling is frequent and fast

What to watch out for

The size of 20 mm is above the average of the dice that come with basic game packages. The advantage is legibility even from the opposite side of the table and better behavior when rolled from the hand, the disadvantage somewhat greater demands on room in a carrying case. It is a good idea to store the dice separately from figures and metal tools, so that their surface is not needlessly scuffed, and to roll them into a dice tray, which dampens the bounce and protects the top of the table.

Who the set is for

• players of tabletop roleplaying games and tabletop systems
• gaming clubs where enough dice have to be at the table
• collectors of dice who are looking for a particular color combination
• anybody who wants dice of their own and not to borrow them from fellow players
