A plastic kit in 1:125 scale representing the iconic Concorde supersonic airliner in Air France colors. The parts are injection molded and decals for the civil livery are included. The assembled model has a respectable length and represents the era of supersonic air travel impressively. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Concorde was the result of a joint British and French supersonic transport program launched in the 1960s. The first prototype left the factory at Toulouse in 1967 and commercial service under Air France and British Airways began in 1976. With its slender delta wings and a drooping nose it flew at over twice the speed of sound and became a symbol of the technical peak of civil aviation.
A model of this size will appreciate careful sanding of the fuselage joints and an evening-out of the surface with a primer — white areas call for a smooth base. Spray the characteristic white in several thin coats and apply the Air France decals onto a gloss clear coat. Because of the size, count on a solid base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
