70 Years of Bundeswehr: Wilhelm Bauer, Type 206 A and Type 212 A is an anniversary set of plastic kits of three German submarines in 1:144 scale from the manufacturer Revell.
Responsibility details are not available.
This anniversary set for the 70 years of the German armed forces brings together injection-molded plastic kits of three German submarines in 1:144 scale: the technical museum vessel Wilhelm Bauer (U-2540), a submarine of the Type 206 A class and the modern submarine of the Type 212 A class. The package contains quality decals and multilingual instructions. The models are built from individual parts and are supplied unpainted.
The Wilhelm Bauer was originally built as a Type XXI submarine of the end of the Second World War; after the war it was thoroughly modernized and served as a trials vessel, and today it is a museum exhibit. The Type 206 A class is among the most successful and longest-serving German postwar designs of coastal submarines. The Type 212 A is a modern non-nuclear submarine with air-independent propulsion, which is among the technological leaders.
Glue the hulls carefully and sand the seams down, because the smooth surface of a submarine brings out imperfections. A primer base and spraying with an airbrush are advisable; you will manage the transition between the dark upper and the light lower part of the hull by masking. The models come out well on the enclosed or your own stands in a shared display case as a survey of the development of German submarines.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
