Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a single large figure of an American operator of the Delta Force unit from the fighting in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993, in the rewarding 1:16 scale. The figure from the maker ICM is molded in quality plastic with carefully worked out details of the uniform, the equipment and the weapons. The large scale lets the face and the small items of equipment come into their own.
The battle of Mogadishu in 1993 is among the best known commitments of American special forces, and the later film about the downing of a Black Hawk helicopter made it famous as well. Delta Force operators used light, purposeful equipment adapted to urban combat, which the figure captures faithfully.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and sand the parting lines on the skin carefully. In the large scale the shading of the face and hands (the technique of shadows and highlights) and the realistic painting of cloth and equipment all come into their own. We recommend a base of filler and an airbrush for the basic tones, with the details fine-tuned with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
