An injection-molded plastic figure kit in 1:16 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. It represents a corporal of the cavalry regiment of the French Republican Guard in ceremonial uniform. The multi-part figure allows the pose and the accessories to be worked out in detail. The exact contents of the package follow the instructions in the box.
The Republican Guard is part of the French gendarmerie and carries out mainly ceremonial and representative duties, among others at state ceremonies and in the Paris region. Its cavalry regiment is known for its parade uniform with helmet and saber and is often seen at parades and honor escorts. The figure captures the typical appearance of a member of this unit in the rank of corporal.
Use liquid cement for plastic and clean the parts up carefully, especially at the joints and on the face. The large 1:16 scale invites fine detail painting: the face and hands respond well to shading and highlighting, the uniform to sharp transitions and the accessories to a metallic sheen. Apply a primer before painting. Work mainly with a brush and build the shades in thin layers so that the modeling stands out.
