A large injection-molded plastic figure of one guardsman of the Papal Swiss Guard from the manufacturer ICM in 1:16 scale. Thanks to the large scale it is a collector's figure in its own right with richly worked out detail of the parade uniform and the arms. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Papal Swiss Guard is the military corps that guards the Vatican and the person of the Pope; it is one of the oldest military units still active in the world, and its beginnings reach back to the start of the 16th century. The guardsmen are known for their striking striped parade uniform in blue, red and yellow, for the beret or the helmet and for their traditional arms, among which is the halberd.
In the large 1:16 scale careful painting comes into its own, above all on the striped uniform and the face. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, clean up the joints and spray over primer. Finish the uniform and the face with a brush as well as an airbrush and bring the details to life with a wash and dry brushing. Measure out and mask the stripes of the uniform patiently.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
