The SAAB 340 is a Swedish twin-engine turboprop regional airliner for about thirty passengers, created in the early 1980s in cooperation with an American partner. Its low operating costs and its ability to work from shorter runways spread it around the world, and it flew with dozens of regional carriers. Some of the aircraft still serve today in freight and special-mission form.
In 1:200 scale what matters most is a smooth surface, because every unevenness shows on the gloss finish of an airliner. Fill the seams with putty and sand them down carefully, and only then apply the primer. Spray the white of the fuselage with an airbrush in thin coats, otherwise it will fill the engraved detail. Apply the decals over a gloss base and finish with a clear coat that unifies the sheen of the whole fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
