A large-scale plastic model of the SR16 variant of a rifle from the AR-15/M16/M4 weapon family in 1:3 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is not a working weapon but a static kit model in injection-molded plastic that faithfully captures the shape and the breakdown of the real rifle. A stand for display and illustrated instructions are usually included.
The SR16 belongs to the wide family of American assault rifles and carbines based on the AR-15/M16/M4 design. This design is marked by modular construction, direct gas impingement and a wide system for attaching accessories. The large 1:3 scale makes it possible to show the external features of the mechanism and the ergonomics of the weapon in detail.
Glue the parts with cement for plastic and take care to clean up the mold seams neatly, as they are clearly visible in a large scale. The metallic look of the weapon is best suggested with an airbrush in shades of gunmetal and black, complemented by gentle drybrushing on the edges. The texture of the stock and the grip stands out in matte shades; display the assembled model on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a working weapon. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
