An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bücker Bü 131D trainer in 1:32 scale from the maker ICM. This winter version captures the machine with ski landing gear for operating from snow-covered airfields. The model is made up of plastic parts, it holds engine detail and a surface imitating the fabric covering of the fuselage and the wings.
The Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann is a two-seat trainer biplane that first flew in the middle of the 1930s. It earned a reputation for its excellent handling and became one of the most widespread German trainers, on which Luftwaffe pilots were schooled. The winter version with ski landing gear made training possible even in hard winter conditions.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints with a fine grit. Apply a base coat of primer before painting and spray with an airbrush in thin coats. On trainers a restrained amount of wear and emphasized panel lines suit the subject. The fabric covering of the biplane and the bracing wires of the wings call for careful work.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
