An injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier fighter biplane Gloster Sea Gladiator Mk.II in the large 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The set holds the aircraft itself with a detailed engine and fuselage, the option of building it with different types of propeller, and three standing figures of naval pilots with detailed uniforms. The decals offer markings for machines operating from land as well as from aircraft carriers.
The Sea Gladiator was the naval variant of the land-based Gladiator fighter biplane, built from 1938. The carrier version had a strengthened lower wing, revised equipment, an arrestor hook and a dinghy stowed under the fuselage. Despite the dated concept these machines saw action in the early battles of the Second World War.
On a biplane, pay attention to the exact seating of the struts and the bracing between the wings. Finish the engine and the cockpit interior before the fuselage is closed up. We recommend a base coat, spraying with an airbrush and gentle emphasis of the panels. The pilot figures offer a chance to practice painting uniforms.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
