The I-16 type 24 with Soviet pilots is a plastic kit of the Soviet fighter aircraft with crew figures in 1:32 scale from the maker ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
The injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet fighter aircraft Polikarpov I-16 in the type 24 version and adds figures of Soviet pilots of the period from 1939 to 1942 to it. The set from the Ukrainian maker ICM is worked out in the large 1:32 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The I-16 was one of the first production monoplanes with retractable landing gear and was among the mainstays of the Soviet fighter aviation at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. It was marked out by its short, stubby fuselage and good agility. The type 24 version was among the later and more powerful arrangements.
The large 1:32 scale comes into its own with careful work on the engine and the cockpit; finish those before the fuselage is closed. The figures will reward well worked out painting of the faces and shading of the uniforms. A primer, an airbrush and a fine panel wash are the way to go.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
