A set of wheels for the Lynx helicopter in 1:32 scale from Clear Prop Models replaces the landing gear wheels with a more faithful rendition.
Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement wheels made for the large 1:32 rendition of the British Lynx helicopter. In a larger scale the landing gear is clearly visible, so it pays to give it attention; the tread pattern and the shape of the rim are among the details the eye catches at once. The set is an accessory for the build; the machine itself is not in the package.
The Lynx is a British twin-engine helicopter that first took to the air in 1971. It made its name for agility, as one of the few machines in its category it could even manage a loop, and in 1986 the helicopter speed record was set with it. A wheeled landing gear is carried by the naval renditions made for the decks of ships, whereas the army versions for ground units stood on skids. The set of wheels therefore aims at the naval form of the machine.
Fit the wheels only after the finish on the landing gear legs is complete; the transition is then cleaner. Paint the tire toward a grayish black rather than a coal black, as pure black looks flat on a model. If you want to suggest a loaded machine, the contact patch is sanded only slightly, as exaggerated flattening looks unnatural on a helicopter. Wash the parts and rid them of grease before painting.
It is a detail set. The model of the helicopter has to be obtained separately.
