A detail accessory in turned metal, not a model. The set contains a precisely turned metal gun barrel for the Soviet 125 mm 2A46M tank gun for the T-72M1 and related tanks (T-72, T-64A/B) in 1:35 scale. The metal barrel replaces the plastic one from the model: it has a perfectly round section with no mold seam, the correct steps and a clean muzzle, including a finely rendered thermal sleeve and fume extractor. It is made by Aber, the Polish specialist in metal accessories.
The T-72 is among the most widespread tanks of the second half of the 20th century and serves to this day. It is armed with the smoothbore 125 mm 2A46 gun with an autoloader. The typical marks of the barrel are the thermal sleeve and the fume extractor in the middle. The export T-72M1 version spread to a number of armies.
For modelers who are building a T-72M1 or a related tank with the 125 mm 2A46M gun in 1:35 scale and who want a perfectly straight barrel with no seams. Even a less experienced modeler can manage the fitting.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
