An injection-molded plastic kit of the Australian ASLAV-PC wheeled armored personnel carrier in the Phase 3 version. The set contains a fairly high number of parts, a hull built up from several pieces, rubber tires and photo-etched parts; the model is built from individual parts and is meant to be glued and painted.
The ASLAV is a family of Australian 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles derived from the North American LAV family. The PC (personnel carrier) version is used to carry troops. The vehicles are amphibious, have all-wheel drive and were used by the Australian army on overseas deployments. Phase 3 marks a later production and upgrade stage.
Assemble and adjust the axles and the suspension first, and only then close the hull. Fit the rubber tires once the rims are painted. For the Australian scheme an airbrush over a base coat suits well, with washes to bring out the detail and fine pigments on the lower areas and the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
