Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Canadian Husky wheeled armored vehicle in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The box captures the later modernized form of the vehicle, which fills the repair and recovery role within the Canadian AVGP family.
The abbreviation AVGP stands for the Canadian family of general purpose wheeled armored vehicles, which came about in the second half of the nineteen seventies on the basis of the Swiss Piranha vehicle with 6x6 drive and was built under license in Ontario, Canada. The family has three members: the Cougar with a turret and a 76 mm gun in the training and reconnaissance role, the Grizzly as an armored personnel carrier and the Husky as a repair and recovery vehicle. The Husky carries a small crane and recovery equipment, and its task is to repair or tow damaged vehicles of the family right in the field. AVGP vehicles served with the Canadian army at home and on missions abroad, among others in the Balkans, and in later years they went through a modernization.
Glue the axles on a flat board so that the vehicle stands evenly on all six wheels. Leave the crane and the recovery equipment for the end of the build so they do not get broken while the model is handled; replace the cable with a thin thread or a copper wire, the plastic version looks coarse. Canadian vehicles wear matte green or the later camouflage scheme. Set the tires apart with a matte tone and weather the vehicle mainly in the wheel wells and on the lower parts of the hull, where dust collects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
