ICM 1:35 Chernobyl No. 4 Deactivators is a set of plastic figures of the men who cleaned up after the nuclear power plant accident, with a diorama base included.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of injection-molded plastic figures in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer ICM, from the themed range commemorating the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986. The box contains four figures of the so-called deactivators — members of the teams that removed the radioactive contamination after the accident — and adds a diorama base with a printed backdrop.
After the explosion of the fourth unit of the Chernobyl power plant the authorities deployed thousands of liquidators, who cleared the site of radioactive debris and dust. The figures document their work and belong to a wider ICM series devoted to this event.
Separate the parts from the sprues carefully and bond them with a thin cement for plastic. For a convincing result it helps to shade the folds of the clothing and to add fine pigments suggesting a dusty, dust-laden environment.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
