An injection-molded plastic kit of the French FCM 36 light tank in the form of a captured machine in German service, in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The model is built from plastic parts, glued and painted. ICM is known for good new molds with fine detail.
The FCM 36 was a French light infantry tank of the late 1930s, recognizable by its characteristic faceted hull and a turret with sloped armor. It was powered by a diesel engine, an unusual choice for its day. After the defeat of France in 1940 the Wehrmacht took over some of the captured machines and used them for second-line and training duties; some of the chassis also served as the basis for conversions.
Use thin cement for plastic; the faceted hull offers sharp edges that lend themselves to being brought out. Finish the running gear and the interior before closing up the hull. A base coat, an airbrush and final washes and pigments are recommended; the German form allows gray as well as a later camouflage and interesting markings of captured vehicles.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
