The resin figure set 1:35 Ferdinand Crew - Part.1 from the Italian brand Royal Model will bring a model of the German heavy tank destroyer to life with a crew in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set from the Italian brand Royal Model is cast in resin. The figures are designed to fit a model of the German Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer, whether in its hatches or in a scene around the hull. The vehicle itself is sold separately.
The machine was created from the unused chassis of the VK 45.01(P) prototype, which had lost the competition for a heavy tank. Into its tall rear casemate it got the 8.8 cm Pak 43/2 gun with a long barrel, which destroyed targets at a distance most opponents could not reach. It made its debut in July 1943 at Kursk. Its armor resistance showed there, but so did its weakness: it lacked defensive machine gun armament against infantry and its gasoline-electric transmission plagued the mechanics. Not quite a hundred machines were built, and modelers pay them all the more attention for it.
First free the parts of grease with lukewarm water and detergent, so that the remains of the mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, not with cutters. Cyanoacrylate holds the joints reliably. Sand wet and with your airways protected. A thin primer under the paint will reveal fine scratches and at the same time improve the adhesion of the shades of the uniforms and the skin. Try seating the figures in a hatch before you varnish the vehicle.
The figures are sold unassembled and without paints; neither glue nor paints are enclosed.
