Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American FWD Type B truck in its First World War ammunition carrier form, in 1:35 scale from ICM. It is a new tool; according to the manufacturer the box offers a finely rendered cargo bed for carrying ammunition, photo-etched parts and decals for several options. Again according to the manufacturer, the truck can be built with the canvas cover or without it. The exact number of parts and the contents of the package are not stated here.
The FWD Type B was an American three-ton truck with drive to all four wheels, notable for its characteristic layout with the driver's position above the engine. The US Army ordered it in large numbers during the First World War as the Truck, 3-ton, Model 1917, and a number of them received a cargo bed adapted for carrying artillery ammunition. These ammunition trucks supplied American units in Europe with shells and materiel. All-wheel drive gave the truck good mobility on the muddy roads of the battlefield.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; build the chassis, the engine and the cargo bed carefully according to the instructions. Paint the engine and the lower areas before you cover them up. Apply primer and the paints with an airbrush, and bond the photo-etched parts with super glue. A plain olive scheme suits a First World War vehicle; bring the panel lines and the wooden and canvas parts to life with a wash and add strong mud pigments on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
