An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet truck GAZ-AA in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model has a detailed engine, chassis and body with its load bed. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of parts against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The GAZ-AA was a Soviet light truck with a payload of 1.5 tons, which earned it the popular nickname polutorka (that is, one and a half). It was built from the 1930s and became one of the most widespread commercial vehicles of its time. During the Second World War it served as a supply, transport and rear-area vehicle and became famous, among other things, on the supply route across the frozen Lake Ladoga. Along with the T-34 and the Katyusha rocket launcher it is one of the icons of Soviet equipment of that era.
Cut the parts from the sprues and bond them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. It is an older mold — check the fit and remove any flash before gluing. Assemble the engine and the chassis first and fit the tires only after painting. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, bring the wooden bed out with glazes, the panel details with a wash and finish the underside with mud and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
