A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the Italian brand Royal Model. It captures a member of the Italian mountain troops, the Alpini, during the deployment in Afghanistan in 2008 to 2009. The polyurethane casting faithfully carries over the modern combat equipment, the body armor and the helmet.
The Italian Alpini are among the traditional mountain troops and served in Afghanistan as part of the international forces. The modern kit with a tactical vest and early twenty-first-century camouflage makes the figure a rewarding accessory for contemporary dioramas with the equipment of overseas missions.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean up the parting lines. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting; with modern camouflage it pays to use masks or careful brushwork with the emphasis on the camouflage pattern.
