A refining photo-etched set in 1:35 for the late KV-1 in the Type C form. Metal components for a plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tank; the Italian manufacturer Royal Model. Target kit: Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
These refining metal parts aim at the later production form of the Soviet heavy tank, which the modeling market lists under the designation Type C. The package deals with details that a plastic mold can only suggest, and is fitted to a finished kit. By itself, therefore, it does not represent a vehicle but an improvement to one. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
The original machine of 1940 had a welded turret and a relatively complicated structure. As production moved east and was simplified, cast parts increased, the armor changed and the weight grew, until the tank became too heavy for its own transmissions. Late production runs therefore went back to lightening, out of which the KV-1S type later arose. The designation Type C is used by the kit manufacturer for one of these later forms.
Some of the metal parts belong on the underside of the hull and on the inner sides of the fenders, which you will not reach once the upper areas have been glued together. It pays, therefore, to go through the contents beforehand and divide them into what can be fitted at the very end and what has to be finished before the model is closed up. Feel free to sketch the procedure out on paper with a pencil.
It is supplied as a metal accessory without the model, without glues and without coating materials.
