The street light Lamp on wall in 1:35 scale combines a resin casting with photo-etched metal parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This wall light combines a casting in polyurethane resin with photo-etched metal, so that the bracket and the arm have the right thickness and the lamp does not look squat. It is made by the Italian brand Royal Model.
A facade in a diorama tends to be a large empty surface, and it is only small fittings that turn it into a street. A lamp also sets the time of day and the mood of a scene: darkened glass, a dented shade or a torn-off feed tell at once what has happened in the town. It can be placed above a gate, in the corner of a yard or above the entrance of a house, always at roughly first-floor height, otherwise the scale falls apart.
Wash and degrease the resin part and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. Cyanoacrylate glue joins both, as ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on these materials. A primer is essential, otherwise the paint holds neither on smooth resin nor on metal. The painted sheet of the body tended to be dark green, gray or black, but it is only a darker coat into the pressings and a gentle rubbing of the edges that give it its form. The glass can be suggested with gloss varnish applied in a single thicker drop, after which the shade looks as if there really were a pane in it.
The light is supplied as a kit casting with photo-etch, unpainted.
