An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German main battle tank Leopard 2A7A1 in 1:35 scale from Revell. The model captures the latest development stage of the Leopard 2 series with improved armor and the option of showing the Trophy active protection system. It is a more demanding kit; Revell also offers this kit in a Model Set version with paints and glue — check the particular release and the contents of the package against the manufacturer part number.
The Leopard 2A7A1 is one of the most modern versions of the successful Leopard 2 series, intended for the German Bundeswehr. It follows on from the proven concept with a 120 mm smoothbore gun and stands out for improved protection of the crew. Optionally it can be fitted with the Trophy active protection system, which puts the tank among the best protected main battle tanks of today.
Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints over carefully. Modern European tanks carry a sober three-color NATO camouflage: after the base coat and varnish, bring out the panel joints with a fine wash and add rather moderate wear and fine dust, so that the model looks realistic and not exaggeratedly dirty.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
