A figure set of mechanics in 1:35 scale for workshop and support scenes with part-built equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
Mechanics are among the figures that help a diorama most. They explain why a vehicle has its engine compartment open, why tools are lying on a fender and why the machine is standing apart from the column. At the same time they give a scene its scale: it is only beside a human figure that it shows how big a machine the model actually represents. A workshop scene will also carry a model that is not finished down to the last part, because a stripped machine belongs in it.
The set renders mechanics in 1:35 scale, that is in the size matching ordinary kits of military and civilian equipment. The number of figures, the make-up of the parts and the order of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut any excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder back, and fill the seams at the shoulders and the waist. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Before painting, wash the parts, degrease them and seal them with a base color. Build the skin from several thin layers and leave the hands somewhat darker and dirtier than the face. Overalls hold a scene together: faded cloth, greasy stains on the knees, the forearms and the chest, and dark marks around the pockets will set a mechanic apart from a soldier in the field better than any detail. Set the finished figures so that they touch the machine, the tools or the ground.
The set suits workshop and support scenes, part-built and repaired equipment, and anywhere a diorama is meant to tell a story about work on a machine. Models of equipment, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
