An injection-molded plastic kit of the Ford Model T 1917 ambulance completed with a set of figures of American medical personnel in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The kit holds the vehicle with a detailed interior, clear parts and several decal options; the figures from the set allow a small medical scene to be built even without an extensive diorama.
In 1917 the Ford Model T became the basis of a light field ambulance. Its low weight and simplicity proved themselves on the muddy, shell-torn roads close to the front, and so the Model T became the most widespread Allied ambulance of the First World War. By the end of the war thousands of these vehicles had been sent to Europe, carrying the wounded from the forward positions to field hospitals.
First build and paint the interior and the chassis, and only then close up the body. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and attach the clear parts with glue for clear parts or with super glue that does not fog them. Paint the figures separately — the faces and the uniforms stand out with layering of the shades and a fine wash. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; transfer the decals onto a smooth varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
