This injection-molded plastic kit captures the mobile field office built on the chassis of the British Leyland Retriever truck. The model is built from a large number of plastic parts, offers a finely rendered interior and several assembly options. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
This unusual vehicle served General (and later Field Marshal) Bernard Montgomery as a mobile office. The inside was divided into a small bathroom and a larger study with storage, lamps and a couch. Together with two further vehicles for sleeping and for map work it made up the so-called Monty's caravan, which accompanied the commander until the end of the war.
Finish and paint the interior first, before you close the body, because the detail is then hard to reach. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, fill the joints and sand them. It is recommended to spray the body with an airbrush and to bring the interior to life with washes and dry-brushing, so that the small details of the fittings stand out. The model also offers a variant with an extended canvas and added steps.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
