Resin wheels in 1:35 scale intended for a model of the Sd.Kfz. 222 light reconnaissance armored car. The precisely cast tire and rim replace the plastic parts, whose shape tends to be simplified by the limits of the mold.
The Sd.Kfz. 222 was a four-wheeled all-wheel-drive car with an open turret and a 20 mm cannon supplemented by a machine gun. A folding wire mesh screen covered the turret from above against grenades. The cars drove ahead of the main forces and reported what the armored divisions had in front of them. In Poland, in France and at the start of the campaign against the Soviet Union they were used in numbers; later, in the sand and the mud, they began to be replaced by heavier eight-wheeled machines with greater range.
First compare the diameter of the new wheel with the plastic original and adjust the height of the chassis accordingly, so that the car does not stand unnaturally high. Cut the casting remnant off and you can lightly sand the bottom of the tire, which gives the impression of load. Join them with cyanoacrylate, but try the turn of the front wheels dry beforehand. Turned wheels give a static model movement, and it is immediately clear that the car was heading somewhere.
The package holds only the wheels; the model of the car is bought separately.
