An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/1 half-track armored personnel carrier in the Ausf.A version from the Second World War period, in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. The set contains a detailed chassis, clear parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. The model is built by gluing plastic parts and is meant to be painted.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was the main half-track armored personnel carrier of the German army, produced by Hanomag. It served to carry motorized infantry and, in a range of further variants, as a command, signals or ambulance vehicle. The Ausf.A version was among the earliest forms and was built at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s.
With armor it pays to assemble and paint the running gear and the interior of the hull before the hull is closed. Use thin cement for plastic. Apply the base with an airbrush and a primer; mud, dust and wear effects come from washes and pigments. The open hull of this vehicle invites work on the interior.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
