Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 armored half-track carrier in the Ausf.B version, in 1:35 scale from ICM. The Stuka zu Fuss version carries frames with rocket launchers along the sides of the hull, which turned the carrier into an improvised rocket weapon for ground support. The model is built from plastic parts and captures the characteristic angular hull as well as the running gear.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 was the standard German half-track carrier of the Second World War, used to carry infantry and in many specialized roles. The version with side frames for launching rockets was nicknamed Stuka zu Fuss, meaning Stuka on foot, after the devastating effect of a salvo of rockets. The early Ausf.B version was notable for the simpler construction of its hull.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the interior of the hull before you close it. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Once the basic camouflage is on, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects are useful and will bring the tracks and the underside of the vehicle to life. Assemble the side rocket frames carefully for the sake of symmetry.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
