An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet 122 mm M-30 artillery howitzer of the 1938 pattern in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the barrel with its recoil system, the shield and the carriage with spreading trails. It is assembled and painted by the builder.
The 122 mm M-30 howitzer was among the most widespread and most used Soviet artillery weapons of the Second World War. It was marked out by reliability, good range and simple handling. It served to give fire support to the infantry and stayed in the inventory of a number of armies long after the war.
Thin cement for plastic and careful cleaning up of the parting lines on the thin parts of the carriage are recommended. Apply a primer before spraying and use an airbrush for an even shade. Green shades suit Soviet service, and weathering in the recesses and dust are fine-tuned with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
