An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-64BV main battle tank in the Mod.1985 version from Trumpeter in 1:35 scale. The model captures the characteristic blocks of reactive armor on the turret and the hull and the side skirts over the running gear. The package usually contains photo-etched parts; take the exact contents from the enclosed instructions.
The T-64BV is a Soviet main battle tank armed with a 125 mm gun with an autoloader. The BV version was completed with Kontakt reactive armor, that is, blocks of reactive armor covering the turret and the front part of the hull, and with smoke grenade launchers. In its day the tank was among the best protected Soviet types and represented a technologically advanced design.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Assemble and paint the running gear before closing the side skirts up; fit the many blocks of reactive armor carefully according to the instructions. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; you will bring the Soviet green scheme to life by lightening the surfaces, with washes in the recesses and with pigments for dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
