This plastic kit in 1:35 scale from ICM represents the American Studebaker US6 heavy truck in the U3 variant as a captured vehicle used by the German army. The set contains injection-molded plastic parts and decals with several versions of German markings.
The Studebaker US6 was an American heavy truck with drive on several axles, produced from 1941 and delivered to the Allies in enormous numbers. A number of these vehicles fell into the hands of the Wehrmacht as booty and served in German hands, among other places on the Eastern Front. Its rugged construction and good payload made it a valued means of transport on both sides of the front.
Start with the chassis and the drivetrain and leave the cab and the cargo bed separate for painting. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints and shade the whole with an airbrush. German markings stand out over a dark base; after the decals add washes and pigments for the dust and mud effects typical of the Eastern Front.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
