This photo-etched accessory from Panzerkraft is NOT a model, but a detail of the reinforcing ring of the barrel with its screws, as the StuG III Ausf. F to G assault guns carried it. The set in 1:35 scale contains four versions of the ring and covers four vehicles.
The StuG III was one of the most widely used German assault guns of the Second World War. On the F and G versions a distinctive ring appeared on the barrel, and rendering it faithfully lifts the look of the gun barrel above a smooth plastic part.
Roll the photo-etched strip around the barrel over a suitable mandrel, line up the overlap and tack it down with super glue. Bring out the imitation of the screws with a dark wash over the base coat.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
