ICM 1:35 Tankabwehr 1918 — a set of 4 plastic figures of German anti-tank defense soldiers of the end of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of four figures of German soldiers in 1:35 scale from ICM. It is not a vehicle or a kit of equipment — these are figures intended for a diorama or to bring a model of the First World War period to life. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Tankabwehr means anti-tank defense. The set captures soldiers of 1918, that is of the end of the First World War, when the first tanks were only just appearing on the battlefield and armies were hurriedly looking for ways to defend against them. Among other things, the German army then introduced the Mauser Tankgewehr M1918, the very first anti-tank rifle in the world, operated by a two-man crew. It is a narrow subject of the Great War that is prized by collectors.
Cut the parts carefully from the sprues, clean up the parting lines and the sprue gate marks and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. With figures the painting decides everything: skin has its undertones (it is not one flat color), paint the uniforms in a period-correct way (field gray) and set aside time and a fine brush for the eyes and small details. A badly painted figure easily spoils a whole scene — and conversely a carefully managed figure is the summit of the work. Paints for figures, good fine brushes and washes for bringing out the folds are what suit.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
