Printed tracks of the late type for the Tiger I in 1:35 scale for the Tamiya kit. A replacement for plastic tracks, with a clean link profile and no traces of the mold.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of tracks for the German Tiger I heavy tank in its late form, made by 3D printing from resin. It is a replacement part for a built model, not a tank kit. The printed links have sharp edges, clean relief and a surface with no parting line, so the laborious cleanup falls away, which on plastic tracks takes more time than the gluing itself. The manufacturer has designated the set for the Tamiya kit.
The Tiger I was the heaviest German production tank of the first war years and its running gear is among the most conspicuous features of the whole machine. The tank used two sets of tracks: narrow transport ones for carriage by rail and wide combat ones for driving across country. Late vehicles differed from early ones in the shape of the link and the form of the wheels as well, so a correctly chosen track is one of the features by which the period of service can be told on a model.
First finish the running gear, so that the track seats on the wheels and the rollers. Separate the parts from the supports, smooth the pads and wash them in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting. They are glued with super glue. For painting, a dark base, rust filters and finally a steel tone applied with a dry brush to the edges that rubbed against the ground work well.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The Tamiya kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
